This little thing is one of three very low power sites for fill-in services of the Yorkshire Dales ILR station Fresh Radio. Broadcasting with just 7 watts, it puts in a surprisingly good daytime performance in the local area covering Ilkley, Otley and other parts of Lower Wharfedale, just to the north of Leeds.
Ben Rhydding is situated in the grounds of the local scouts' hut and is very close to the Leeds to Ilkley railway line.
